Onboarding checklist
A conservative Getting Started path — Guided Soul, approvals on, no gateway until you are ready.
Updated July 20, 20261 min read
Use this checklist for a controlled start. Prefer Guided autonomy until behaviour is reliable. Details live in the linked articles.
Checklist
- Hardware / brain ready — powered on and steady; see Brain setup and First 15 minutes.
- Remote link + approve device — find your Sovereign, approve the iPhone on the brain; see Find and link and Approve your iPhone.
- Thinking service chosen — confirm a model path works; see What is a thinking service?.
- Mission Discovery (light) — clarify your life purpose without dumping it into Soul; see Mission Discovery.
- Soul Document with Guided defaults — ask-before-acting, hard refusals, confirmation rules; see Soul Document best practices and Understanding Autonomy Levels.
- Approvals / manual posture — keep human confirmation on for dangerous or high-impact actions.
- No messaging gateway until ready — leave public channels off until allowlists and pairing are deliberate.
- Know how to Reset & Refine — bookmark Reset & Refine Your Sovereign before you expand tools.
- Memory Horizon defaults — Hot Cache + Session Recall are enough at first; see Memory Horizon & Vault.
- Optional: Vault later — sealed long-term memory stays opt-in; enable only when you understand propose/commit — Memory Horizon & Vault.
- Optional: company mailbox with IT brief — share the Security brief FAQ and Company Email before connecting Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
Privacy & trust
Where conversations and keys live: Where your data lives. Leadership objections: Leadership concerns.
Tip
If IT asks for a one-pager, use the PDF or the full Security brief.
